To glue seams, you need a steady hand. I use a fine line glue applicator and let the glue run onto the fabric, and not touch the fabric with the glue nib. This can mess the nib up.
If you first draw around your pattern with pencil, then go around the pencil line with the glue applicator, and leave the glue to dry for about 15 to 20 mins, by this time you will have done all your pattern pieces.
Cut out on the glue line, as this stops the fabric from fraying; it also helps when you press the seam with an iron to set it. Always press the glued seam to the back of the garment, as you can't press this seam open like you would a sewn seam.
Practice straight lines on a scrap piece of fabric.
